The most famous trail is Kungsleden and one of the highlights is hiking through the mighty Syterskalet and why not put in an extra day to do a peak trip to Västerbotten's highest mountain, Norra Sytertoppen 1,768 m above sea level. But in Hemavan Tärnaby there are many, many more trails and excursion destinations for big and little mountain hikers.

We use the Naturkartan
We have created a Guide on the Nature Map called HemavanTärnaby.

Download the Naturkartan app for free via the App store or Google play. We continuously add new routes and tour suggestions to make the app as comprehensive as possible. Here you can sort out the joints as:
- Hiking
- Cycling
- Lodging out along the trails
- and see availability for, among other things, parking, toilets and whether it is wheelchair friendly.
When the app is downloaded to the phone, no reception is needed for it to work.
From a mountain safety point of view, for example if the phone runs out of battery, you should still always have paper maps and a compass with you when you go out on the mountain.
